Google Cloud Engineer

Your Challenges

Analysis and Engineering unite to exceed our customers' expectations during their journey with us. For this purpose, we leverage the power of Google Cloud to implement new services, applications, and data science models, as well as to host all our data. In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering team in designing and setting up GCP using Infra as Code.

Your Responsibilities

• As a Google Cloud Engineer for our Google Cloud environment, you'll steer the design of both our current Google Cloud Services and our automated CI/CD pipelines for future plans;

• Collaborate with your team members to ensure our Google Cloud environment is entirely set up in Code through “Deployment Manager” configuration;

• Utilize your experience to help maintain our GCP environment, assist colleagues in planning for the future, and work on next-step strategies;

• Work in an agile team, exploring innovative solutions for the company’s IT infrastructure;

• Brainstorm and refine user stories that will enhance the Cloud Platform and Developer Experience.

What do you bring to the table?

We think that as a Google Cloud Engineer, you will be successful if you bring the following knowledge and experience with you. If you do not meet all the requirements but are convinced that you have the qualities for this position, we would like to ask you to still apply. We are open to being convinced:

• You have relevant working experience with the Google Cloud Platform in a similar position;

• You are proficient in scripting, and you have development experience in Python and Javascript.

• Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible;

• You have a firm belief in configuration management - if it's not managed, it's not real;

• You 'automate all the things' from bootstrap to backup;

• Experience working with Scrum methodology;

• You receive bonus points if you are certified as a Google Cloud Architect, Cloud Developer, or Cloud DevOps Engineer;

• You are proficient in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Being able to speak Dutch is an advantage.
